Facilities & Services at MMLP, Bihta

At PMIPL we shall be providing the following Facilities to our Customers:

1. Multi-modal Logistics Services:
Logistics Park shall have provision of intermodal transfer of goods, i.e., from rail to road and vice versa. This enables incoming goods (moved in bulk on the railways) to be distributed to multiple consumers and outgoing goods to get aggregated (usually at the inter-modal transit warehouse facilities) and moved out in the cheaper mode of railway wagons (which, of course, has requirement of bulk booking).

2. Warehouse Facility:
This is required for both aggregation and as a distribution hub for incoming cargo. Apart from simple cross-docking facilities these Logistics Parks’ warehousing facilities shall have provisioning for adding value to the supply chain of goods.

3. Transportation:
As the logistics hub of the region the project envisages services of transportation between the “Hub” and “spokes” and long lead movement to integrate the state economically to the rest of the country. With the railway siding, rail movement in standard rolling stock and containers from and to Bihta shall provide a thrust never witnessed before.

4. Bagging, Kitting & Unitizing Facilities:
Logistics Parks deliver value added services in terms of facilities that can be economically and efficiently outsourced by the Industry and Trade. Many small plants find it better, for example, to bag their goods at such Logistics Parks which bring in economy through scale of operations. Similarly, such Logistics Parks offer unitizing services like palletization or pre-retail packing, tagging and marking facilities.

5. Business Centre:
Facilitation facilities for documentation, communication, conference, office space, etc are standard requirements at Logistics Park.

6. Industrial plots and sheds
Leveraging the crucial logistics infrastructure, the project shall also include few industrial plots and ready to use sheds for setting up medium and small scale industrial units particularly catering to the abundance of raw materials available in catchment areas.

The project shall have a number of “commodity – specific” warehouses with a view to provide for easy flow & storage of material. Equipments for handling cargo shall be a core focus to bring in economy, efficiency and provide for minimal damage to cargo. The project will also offer customized value added services to the customers.
