Kanpur (Uttar Pradesh)

Our Kanpur ICD and rail-linked rail freight terminal commenced commercial operations in February 2012 and April 2012, respectively, with the ICD becoming operational within nine months of receiving the necessary government approvals. The terminal is located at Panki, approximately 14 kilometres from Kanpur Central Railway Station, on 23 acres of leased land. It has been developed to handle 178,850 TEUs, with a total of 784 ground slots for stacking containers.

It is equipped with two handling lines, 19,000 square feet of warehousing space, bonded yards, empty container parks, and container maintenance and repair facilities. It benefits from the catchment area that spans across Kanpur, Unnao, Bhadohi, Jajmau, Lucknow, Mirzapur and Allahabad. The terminal has three product categories: (i). EXIM-focussed containers, such as meat, leather, aluminium, paper, and fabric, (ii). domestic-focussed containers, such as white cement, and (iii) domestic non-container cargo commodities such as foodgrains and edible oil.
